Welcome to the stunning part of Sweden called Bergslagen! At Sikfors Herrgård, we offer high-standard accommodation, a restaurant with locally produced food and a wide range of outdoor activities. With nature as our closest neighbour, we can promise you beautiful scenery for your stay.
Nature at its best
The mansion, built in 1849, is situated just next to the stream ”Sikforsen” and the lake ”Sör-Älgen”. Stroll along the grounds, take a swim in the lake or a sauna bath in our very own wooden heated sauna. Go cycling or hiking, discovering peaceful lanes and quiet, deep forests. Look for wildlife by kayaking or try your luck at fishing. Or perhaps one of the nearby golf-courses might interest you?
Experience great food
Our restaurant will no doubt be a special part of your experience. Your hostess, Uta Riedel, is renowned for her skills in traditional Swedish cooking and locally produced food. Among others, we produce our very own apple juice in our own tiny factory.
Sleep comfortably
For our hotel guests, we offer eight comfortable and original double rooms. Each one is like a ”mini suite” of about 30 square meters with bedroom, living room and bathroom. These are located in ”Stångjärnsmagasinet”, right next to the main mansion building. We also offer guests to stay in our self service apartments, a mere 550 meters from the mansion.
